Elagante' is a heavy looking roofing tile that is no more than 400 lbs. Per roofing square (100 sq. Ft. of roof area) installed. That's less weight than most upper scale composition roofing materials! On the back side of every tile is mechanically attached expanded poly-styrene (EPS) insulating foam base, giving Elagante' its r-.45 insulation value, and making it one of the most "walkable" tiles on the market. Test rated with up to 120 mph wind tunnel test with no movement in tile (equal to an f-2 tornado) and hail study test with no breakage in the tiles up to 2 inches in diameter, makes Elagante' eligible for insurance discounts even composition shingles can't qualify for! Perhaps the best thing about Elagante' light-weight and insulated roofing is the price. Elagante' has the same great look as heavy river sand tiles and comes in several different colors and color combinations, but without the heavy-duty price. Installed, Elagante' roof tile is approx 50% less expensive than traditional, heavy tile roofs without the costly engineering and attic bracing to support other heavy tile products!
